Four portals. One record of the school.
PromeCynEd gives each person their own way into the same information — so a teacher isn't wading through admin screens, and a parent sees their child and nothing else. Here's what each portal does.
Oversight of the whole school.
The admin portal is where the school's settings, staff accounts and records oversight live — separate from day-to-day academic work, so the people who need control have it and nobody else does.
Why it's a separate portal
Backups, audit history and user accounts shouldn't sit in the same place as everyday enrolment work. Keeping them apart means fewer accidents and a clearer answer to "who can do that?"
Dashboard
A single view of where the school stands — the numbers you need before a board meeting, without building a spreadsheet.
User accounts
Create and manage staff accounts, set who holds which role, and suspend access when someone leaves.
Audit logs
A searchable history of changes to school records — what changed, who changed it, and when. Exportable as a PDF.
Backup & restore
See every backup, download a copy, or restore the school's data if something goes wrong.
Reporting analytics
Performance and enrolment trends across the school, with the underlying figures available to export.
Report card setup
Set the school's report card format, colours, logo and motto so every report goes out looking consistent.
Historical marks
Enter results from earlier years so a student's full academic history lives in one place, not in an old filing cabinet.
The academic engine room.
Coordinators set up the school year and keep it running: who's enrolled, which class they're in, which teacher takes which subject, and what everyone owes.
Built for the start-of-year rush
Enrolling hundreds of students one at a time isn't realistic. Bulk upload from a spreadsheet — and export back out — turns days of typing into a single file.
Student details
The full student record — personal details, guardians, photo and enrolment history, all in one place.
Bulk upload & export
Enrol students from a spreadsheet template, upload class placements in bulk, and export the student list whenever you need it.
Student – class placement
Assign students to their grade, class and stream for the year, and move them when things change.
Teacher – class
Set which teacher takes which class, including class teachers responsible for a group.
Teacher – subject
Assign subjects to teachers so marks and reports flow to the right person automatically.
Grades, classes & streams
Define the school's structure — grade levels, classes within them, and streams where you use them.
Subjects
Maintain the subject list the whole school works from, so naming stays consistent across reports.
Fees
Set the fee structure per grade, record payments against a student, and produce fee statements as PDFs.
GPA & grading
Configure how marks translate into grades and GPA, matched to the scheme your school actually uses.
Areas observed
Set the behaviour and attitude areas teachers assess, so the school reports on the same things everywhere.
Almanac
Manage term dates and the school calendar that attendance and reporting are measured against.
Class lists
Generate a printable class list for any class — useful the moment term starts.
Marks, attendance and comments — without the paperwork.
Teachers see their own classes and students, enter what they need to enter, and let the system assemble the reports they used to build by hand.
Preview before you commit
Reports can be previewed on screen before anything is printed or exported, so mistakes get caught while they're still easy to fix.
My students' results
Every student in your classes, with their marks and progress in one working view.
Enter & upload marks
Record assessment marks directly, or upload them from a spreadsheet when you've been working offline.
Attendance
Mark daily attendance and record absences as sick, permitted or unspecified across the term.
Absence submissions
Review the medical certificates and letters parents upload, and clear absences once they're justified.
Behaviour
Record how students are doing against the areas your school has chosen to observe.
Teacher comments
Write the comment that appears on a student's report card, kept alongside their results.
Assessment reports
Produce term and cumulative reports for your class, previewed on screen and exported when you're ready.
Answer sheets
Attach supporting assessment documents to a student's record where you need the evidence kept.
One login for the family.
Students and parents share a single account, on the phone that's already in their pocket. Three simple tabs — and they see their own child's information and no one else's.
Available as a mobile app
Parents don't need a computer. The portal works on a phone, so a guardian can check attendance or a fee balance without coming in to the school office.
Assessment
Marks, grades and performance by subject and term, with term and yearly reports available to view and download.
Attendance
The daily attendance record for each term — days present, and absences marked sick, permitted or unspecified.
Upload an absence note
If a child is marked absent without a reason on file, a parent can upload a medical certificate or letter straight from the app for the class teacher to review.
Fees
The fee statement for the year — what's owed and what's been paid — without a trip to the front office.
Upload proof of payment
Send through a bank deposit slip or receipt from the app, for the school to verify against the account.
Progress charts
See how results are tracking over time, rather than reading a single term in isolation.
The parent and student app, on Android.
Parents and students use PromeCynEd on their phone. Schools receive the app directly from us, along with the sign-in details for their families.
-
Your school receives the app and account details. We provide the download and the sign-in credentials for each family when your school comes on board.
-
Parents install it on their phone. Scan the code or open the link on an Android device. Because the app comes directly from us rather than a store, Android will ask for permission to install it once.
-
They sign in and see their own child. Assessment, attendance and fees — for their child only, and nothing else.
Technical details for ICT managers
The app is served over HTTPS from promecyn.net, so the download reaches you over an encrypted connection.
If you'd like to confirm the download is intact before distributing it across your school, check the file against this SHA-256 checksum:

Requires Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later. Ask us for the current version number and release notes at any time.
See it with your own school's setup.
Book a walkthrough and we'll show you the portals your staff would actually use, with your grades, classes and subjects in mind.
